Cape Finisterre Lighthouse, Spain
The name comes from the Latin finis terrae, 'end of the earth'. The rugged shore nearby is known as the Costa da Morte, the Coast of Death.
The story, as a puzzle
The end of the earth.
The Romans believed this cape marked the end of the known world. Today many pilgrims walk on past Santiago de Compostela to reach this lighthouse, lit in 1853. Pin it.
